She was best known for her roles in the films The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) and The Innocents (1961). Johns began her career in the theatre, appearing in a number of plays in the 1940s and 1950s. She made her film debut in the 1956 Alfred Hitchcock film The Man Who Knew Too Much, in which she played the role of Mrs. Wilkins. She went on to appear in a number of other films, including The Innocents (1961), The Pumpkin Eater (1964), and The Night of the Generals (1967). Johns also appeared in a number of television shows, including The Avengers, The Saint, and The Champions. She retired from acting in the late 1970s. Johns passed away on 28 April, 2002 in London, England, UK. She was 88 years old.
