From 2014 to 2015, he was an Assistant Professor of Digital Communication in the newly created Mass Communication program at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates. Currently, he is an Instructor of Communication at Odessa College in Odessa, Texas.
From 2013 to 2014 he taught reality television and new media courses in the School of Cultural Creativity at Zhejiang University of Media and Communications (ZUMC).

While an undergraduate, he acted in local television commercials with O'Neal Compton and Orlando Jones. After moving to New York City in 1990, he studied video at the Millennium Film Workshop and screenwriting at the Gotham Writer's Workshop.
