James William Lindberg is an American singer and guitarist. Active since the 1980s, when he performed in local bands early on, Lindberg is best known as the musician and lead vocalist of the influential punk rock group Pennywise, he led. lead from 1988 to 2009, and again since 2012. He also founded The Black Pacific, which released a debut album in 2010. Jim became Pennywise's main lyricist, after his death. Bassist Jason Thirsk, who is responsible for promoting the group's post on positive mental attitudes and self-control. A UCLA graduate student in English, Lindberg often cites senior American philosophers Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau as influencers of his lyrics.
