Perfumer Piyush Jain released from jail after 254 days

Kanpur (UP), Sep 8 (IANS) Perfumer Piyush Jain was set on Thursday free from Kanpur prison in the wake of expenditure 254 days behind the bars. An amount of Rs 196 crore and 23 kg gold were found in the walls of the house during a strike in December last year.

Albeit Jain had been conceded bail two days prior, however his delivery was postponed because of confirmation of reports.

His better half Kanta Jain and child Priyansh Jain submitted obligations of Rs 10 lakhs each after which he was delivered.

The group of Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) Ahmedabad had attacked the home of aroma dealer Piyush Jain in Kanpur and his firm in Kannauj on 23 December 2021.

In the attacks that went on for four days, more than Rs 196 crore was recuperated from both the spots. Additionally 23 kg of unfamiliar stepped gold and 600 liters of sandalwood oil were recuperated.

Two arguments were enrolled against Piyush and he was shipped off prison on December 27.
