Shortly after giving birth to her son Platon in April 2013, she started to complain on severe headaches. The same summer she was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an inoperable brain tumor. On January 20, 2014 her boyfriend Dmitriy Shepelev and her agent Anisa Ashiku confirmed that she was battling cancer. By early 2015 she underwent treatment in USA, Germany and Lathvia and then returned to Russia. In March 2015 she fell into a coma and died three months later, on June 15, 2015 following a two-year-long battle with cancer, just three weeks before her 41st birthday.

Had one child, a son Platon Shepelev (b. April 7, 2013 in Miami, Florida, USA), with her boyfriend Dmitriy Shepelev.

She was an actress, known for Dnevnoy dozor (2006), Night Watch (2004) and O chyom govoryat muzhchiny (2010).

In 2004 she had a late-term abortion while pregnant with ex-boyfriend's Andrey Groznyy's child.
