Robert Goelet Jr. was an American art director and producer. He was born to a wealthy family and was educated at Harvard University. He began his career in the film industry in the 1940s, working as an art director on films such as The Big Sleep (1946) and The Red Pony (1949). He later moved into producing, working on films such as The Man Who Would Be King (1975) and The Great Waldo Pepper (1975). He also produced the television series The Six Million Dollar Man (1974-1978). Goelet Jr. was married to actress and singer Jane Powell from 1951 until their divorce in 1965. He died in Los Angeles, California in 2002 at the age of 81. Robert Goelet Jr. had an estimated net worth of $50 million at the time of his death.
